The selector makes it easy to switch to perforator mode. You can thus install a large-diameter drill bit, or an SDS MAX drill bit to make a large hole in a concrete wall (cable passage, sheath, structural building work, etc.)
To indicate power is on, an LED indicator is present at the bottom of the rear handle.
