3 Forged steel axes with tri-material handles
This set of 3 axes lets you chop wood and prepare firewood. The set includes a 36cm hatchet, an 87cm axe for chopping wood and a merlin for splitting wood and large logs.
The set consists of three axes, each essential for manual cutting and splitting of your firewood.
The hatchet, measuring 36cm in length and weighing 1.17kg, is shorter and is ideal for cutting small wood or branches during lumbering operations.
The large axe, 87cm long and weighing 2.5kg, is ideal for felling or splitting small logs.
The merlin is 91cm long and weighs 4.6kg, making it ideal for splitting large logs. Its weight is a real advantage over conventional 3kg merlins. The mass of the merlin is very useful when used with a splitting wedge.
The axes and the merlin have a robust three-material handle with a fibreglass core, a black polypropylene outer casing and a rubber grip on the handle side.
The handle is non-slip and ergonomically designed with a curved tip to prevent the hand from slipping.
Both axes come with two protective plastic covers for the cutting surface. The merlin is supplied with a rubber guard.
